To me, winning an election is a deeply humbling experience. After all of the hooting and hollering of a political campaign, the people who care enough to vote announce their decision. When the effect of that decision is to place a serious responsibility in your hands, you recognize how important it is that you live up to the trust the voters have shown.
As a recipient of this email, you are likely someone who supported my election and so I say thank you. I did not foresee that this election would be so hard-fought or so expensive. Given the nature of my opponent's campaign, I do find it particularly satisfying that we won with a solid majority and I am so very grateful to the hundreds of people who worked so hard and gave so generously to make that victory possible.
I have already been hard at work, making staffing arrangements - which have fallen into place beautifully - and trying to get out in front of what is inescapably going to be a tough budget year for Bucks County.
The campaign is over, but I do have one more pronouncement. I understand the magnitude of the trust the voters of Bucks County have reposed in me. I will do my very best to fulfill that trust and to make our DAs Office the best in Pennsylvania.
Again, thank you for your support.
